Cambridge Z88 EPROM Eraser

The Cambridge Z88 EPROM Eraser is a mains operated (240V AC) accessory for clearing EPROMs used by the Z88.  The Cambridge Z88 relies mainly on EPROMs to store its data in the long term, which causes problems as files cannot be deleted from the EPROM, only marked as unused.  As a result EPROMs quickly become filled.  The EPROM Eraser is therefore an essential part of any Z88 user's kit - operating separately from the Z88 computer, this takes 20 minutes to erase the EPROM pack, whatever the memory size.

We would therefore highly recommend that you consider purchasing the 1MB Flash EPROM instead which allows for much quicker operation speeds including formatting and files may be deleted one at a time.
