As the Enterprise 128 gets older, in common with many early computer products, its keyboard has begun to fail. Invariably one or two keys will fail to respond as soon as you press them (or don't respond at all). Problems such as this are normally caused by a fault in the keyboard membrane which contains a switching mechanism for each key. Normally, part of the conductive layer wears away and certain keys will no longer work. Replacement is a fairly simple procedure, and most people armed with a Phillips screwdriver can do this in a few minutes. However, the problem is that there are no longer any keyboard membranes available. We are therefore actively considering getting a new set of membranes manufactured - if you are interested in this project, then please leave your details in the guestbook below. There is a minimum production run of 500 membranes and so this project will require a large amount of investment.
